Dr. Nick
Evans, BSc, MD, FRCS (Orth), is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing
in sports medicine.
He studied medicine at the University of London, England and
trained in orthopaedic surgery at the University Hospital
of Wales. Dr. Nick developed additional skills in arthroscopic
surgery at Dalhousie University in Canada and at the Southern
California Center for Sports Medicine.
As a physician,
he has worked with many athletes and has special expertise
in weight training injuries. As a scientist, he has fostered
research in sports injury and performance enhancement. Evans
has written more than 20 scientific articles. He features
regularly in popular media and has appeared on network television,
National Public Radio, and in the Los Angeles Times.
As an
author, Evans has written two best-selling books: Men's
Body Sculpting and Bodybuilding
Anatomy. He writes a monthly "Ask the
Doctor" column for MuscleMag
and is also a columnist for Oxygen
Women's Fitness magazine. He has been an invited
guest speaker at numerous national events and seminars. He
is also featured in two instructional weight-training DVDs
distributed by SportVideos.com
